Scott Toronto PT, DPT, joined Wright Physical Therapy in January of 2014 adds to the team his expertise in orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine. Scott Toronto was born and raised in Farmington, UT and is one of 7 kids. In 2007, Scott received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science at Brigham Young University-Idaho and continued on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy at University of St. Augustine-San Diego in 2012.
Scott grew up playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. In high school, Scott was a competitive swimmer and water polo player. In college, he played Ultimate Frisbee. Scott gained interest in physical therapy because of his love of sports and seeing athletes recover from their injuries. He enjoys helping athletes and all other types of patients by helping them to accelerate their recovery through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise programs, and evidence based practice.
Scott is married to his wife of 4 years and has a one year old son. In his spare time, he enjoys watching collegiate sports and the NBA, camping and the outdoors, watching Star Wars movies, spending time with his son, and playing the Wii with his wife. Scott is also fluent in Spanish.
