James Wood was born in Provo, UT and raised in Rigby, ID. He did his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. Upon graduation he attended Idaho State University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
James gained his interest in physical therapy during a high school anatomy and physiology class. His interest was deepened as he played sports and learned more of how intricate the human body is. As he learned how physical therapists use their knowledge of the human body to make a positive impact in the lives of the people they treat, he knew that the field of physical therapy was for him.
James and his wife, Melissa, have a little boy and a little girl on her way. When not in the clinic, James enjoys playing basketball, softball, or any type of sporting activity. He also enjoys reading, being an active part of the community, and spending time with his beautiful family.
